Project Duration :
3 months

Problem :
Existing wearables like watches and bands required frequent charging, making them inconvenient for continuous use. Health-monitoring devices don't align with specific needs of recurring Air Force physical assessments, and supervisors lacked a centralized way to access and analyze health data across teams.

Solution :
We designed a completely new category of product: a smart insole capable of tracking health metrics with the accuracy of premium wearables while being self-charging through kinetic energy. The solution included a mobile app for users to track their metrics and progress, and a desktop platform for supervisors to view dashboards and reports. Iterative usability testing validated flows, refined data visualizations, and ensured a simple yet powerful experience.

Challenge :
The main challenge was designing an entirely new wearable category — balancing advanced features like self-charging and precise health monitoring with a simple and intuitive user experience that could scale across different user types.
Summary :
SoleIQ’s set a new benchmark in health-tech innovation by introducing the first self-charging smart insole. The solution was praised for its clarity, accuracy, and usability, receiving a 10/10 satisfaction rating from the client. This project demonstrated how design and innovation can transform health monitoring and support long-term well-being.
